im 17 so i can only get a 125, i dont really no much about motorbikes except a few basic stuff and i was wondering if theres any 125′s that can do the motorways easily, i no that a aprilla rs 125 could but ive heard it needs a lot of maintainence and looking after and it drinks alot of fuel. Anyway so if anyone knows any bikes that are 125cc, reliable, able to ride out motorways and long distances, and not bad on fuel then if you could tell me i would forever owe you a bag of oranges .
Cheers

I’m 17, been riding a Honda CBR 125 for a good few months.
Its a mean bike, very nice on fuel, I only fill up once a week and I am about everyday.
I’ve had to get a few things fixed on it, but nothing major and it was a used bike to start with.
It is only a 4 Stroke bike though, so it is weak. I managed to do about 80 mph on it, mind the wind was in my face, so resistance. This was on an Dual Carriageway.
You CAN’T go on Motorways with a Provisional License, you WILL have to get a full Motorbike License before you can go out on Motorways. Thats M roads. A Roads are smaller, although some big A Roads don’t allow L Plates either.
So if you want speed, the CBR 125 is not the best. But it is a beast in towns. I am around my town all the time, filtering traffic, braking speed limits, its the best!!!
Its got made kick about 18 hp with my custom Arrow Exhaust! And its a 120kg bike, it blows you away!!
Just to confirm what the first answer says – it is ILLEGAL to ride on a motorway if you only have a provisional driving licence and you are on ‘L’ plates.
On a provisonal lisence with a CBT you are not permitted to use the motorway.
A bike i would recommend is a Honda Varadero 125, very realible bikes, good fuel comsumption and they can do up 80mph however they are very big bikes.
Go to a dealer, have a sit on some bikes, see what positon you feel comfortable, theres loads of 125s out there.
